Tammie Johnson has been in construction leadership for 13 years. Having grown up in the construction industry, she started CJ Drilling in 2003 and has provided the operational oversight and leadership that has led it to be the premier drilling and foundation construction contractor that it is today. She was a key leader in the completion of the largest transmission line foundation projects in the United States.
As Chief Executive, Tammie is responsible for the overall strategic direction and success of the company. Tammie provides key direction in marketing, business development, key investments, recruiting, financial and operations. She also leads our corporation outreach, community support & benevolence, and is a key contact for many of our customers.
Charlie Johnson’s achievements across the country are second to none in managing projects safely and meeting the customer’s schedule requirements. Charlie has over 30 years of experience in drilling, foundation construction and operations management.
Charlie has successfully led high profile projects all over the country including the largest and most challenging transmission line projects from West Virginia, to Utah, to California to Pennsylvania. He also has led challenging building and bridge construction jobs throughout the United States. He is responsible for overall operational success, and is also a key contact for our business development, estimating and project planning.
Charlie has been a key member of the ADSC training and development team, and is often called on by the drilling community to consult on challenging projects.
Vice President of National Infrastructure
Charlie has over 25 years of experience in drilling and foundation construction. He has successfully led all aspects of operations and business development, and is a highly regarded industry professional.
As Vice President of National Infrastructure, Charlie is primarily responsible for business development and operational leadership for our Eastern region projects. He is also a key contributor to our overall business development, estimating, marketing and strategic planning teams.
Chief Financial Officer
Mike joined CJ Drilling in 2021 as its Chief Financial Officer. He has over 30 years of financial and operational experience and has been a CFO for utility contractors for nearly 15 years serving both private and publicly-owned companies. Mike has extensive experience at growing companies and their employees by practicing servant leadership. In 2015, Mike was awarded the prestigious CFO of the Year for Mid-size Private Companies by the Financial Executives International. Outside of work, Mike coaches Special Olympic sports teams year around.
Ray has worked in the drilling and foundation construction industry for over 24 years, holding positions in project management, project engineering, quality control and estimating. He has held key management roles including district manager, where he was responsible for all facets of drilling and foundations construction jobs from estimation and contract negotiation through construction and completion.
Ray received his Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology from The Pennsylvania State University in 1989. Ray joined CJ Drilling as Lead Estimator and is charged with estimating key jobs, managing and developing our estimating process, and developing and training the estimating staff. Ray is also a key contributor to our strategic planning committee, and is called on for site visits and customer
Director of Estimating
Allison was introduced to the construction field in 2007 and has held several positions involving environmental engineering, utility design engineering, and project estimating. As the Director of Estimating, Allison has developed a database to track all current and historic estimating information. She serves as the company point person to process all requests for bids and maintain customer prequalifications.
Allison received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics and Astrophysics from the University of Illinois as well as a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from the University of San Francisco.
Director of Project Controls
Mark Seaquist provides leadership and oversight within all stages of estimating and project management. Over the past 10 years, Mark held a variety of operational functions including Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Senior Estimator for utility and heavy civil projects. In 2020, Mark received his Project Management Professional certification and is a member of the Project Management Institute – Chicago Chapter. Outside of work, Mark enjoys playing guitar, boating, motorcycles, and spending time in northern Wisconsin with his friends and family.
Marty has worked in construction safety since 2003, and has progressively advanced into safety leadership. Marty spent 12 years as a firefighter and medical first responder, holding positions of Lieutenant and Captain.
Marty is primarily responsible for advancing the safety culture at CJ Drilling. He is charged with program development and training our employees to develop safe work practices and habits. He also leads the claims management process, and is called on to advise operations leadership in key safety and risk management areas.
Marty is a member of the ASSE-Northern IL Chapter, ADSC-IADS Safety Committee and is on the Safety Committee of the Fox Valley Chapter of The AGC.
